This type of membrane switch uses metal dome as the upper circuit layer of the switch. When the key is pressed, the metol dome center point will connect the lower circuit and then trigger with a signal. The metal dome is usually made of stainless steel which is flexible and can be pressed more than one million times.

The keys of the metal shrapnel have good key touch and provide good tactile feedback to the operator. HYS Electronic uses stainless steel cross shrapnel and is available in 8.4, 10, 12, 14, 16 mm specifications. A metal dome size of 10-12 mm is generally recommended, which is more suitable for real finger pressing.
