What do we talk about during these workshops, you might ask? Everything from the company’s vision and business goals to user personas and the screens they will see at every step of their journey. Who are we talking to? Everyone from the CEO of the company (if they are available) to department heads and end users.

This is an extensive and important process, and we have a lot to cover, so let’s get started.

Phase I: Preparation

In many ways, the preparatory phase of a project workshop is where the magic happens – or rather where the foundation for success is laid. Here we need to identify the stakeholders and all the main points and what can be considered the success of the workshop. We usually ask a lot of questions and try to get a better idea of the project itself, its goals and the measures of success. This is perhaps one of the most important stages of this whole process.

Objectives of the workshop at the beginning of the project

A workshop is the official start of a project iteration. The aim is to align on common goals and other organizational issues. In the start-up phase, there are often a lot of gray areas that we need to clarify. That is why we try to gather as much information as possible and pay close attention to the things that really matter – your project goals, your pains and successes, some concrete criteria that will enable us to achieve concrete results. This phase is about aligning our vision with yours and making sure we don’t miss anything that was important in the first phase.
